When I hear that someone is a paycheck away from homelessness, I ask “Why don’t they sell and move into an apartment in the city?” Oh, they don’t want to live with people like us.
Because the city is still 45 minutes from where I work. Not all of us live in the burbs and work in downtown areas.
Also, who shall we sell to? What good does it do for me to move to the city if someone else moves out of the city into my old home?
Live the American dream, work hard and be successful and if you fail please have the decency to not become a drag on the rest of US and quietly commit suicide near the morgue.

I just watched Mel Brooks’ “Life Stinks” for the first time last night and I kept thinking about Barney & Clyde.
