(The possible exception, at least in the cartoon, is the horse. In the wild, horses rarely find it necessary to pull heavy loads, or to carry things long distances on their backs. Harness and saddle are OUR “gifts” to the horse. But, hey, our own “gift” is dominion over Creation, right?)
