Strange I always found a ticking clock soothing – however the wife hates the noise.
The ticking is nice, but the gong, well…..
Clock shops always had the clocks set so they didn’t all chime at once.
That’s why you choose a certain time of day to dust them when you’ll have plenty of time before they chime. ;-)
