That’s how you can easily tell it’s a myth – if women worked for less than men, no business would hire men.

[…] Women in the workforce are also less likely to work a full-time schedule and are more likely to leave the labor force for longer periods of time than men, further suppressing women’s wages. These differing work patterns lead to an even larger earnings gap between men and women – suggesting that working women are penalized for their dual roles as wage earners and those who disproportionately care for home and family.

Men with children appear to get an earnings boost, whereas women lose earnings. Men with children earn about 2% more on average than men without children, according to the GAO findings, whereas women with children earn about 2.5% less than women without children.Women have fewer years of work experience.

It is hard to like Pillsbury. He is one billionaire it is safe to not like. He isn’t near as bad as the real greedy psychopaths who put money above the suffering and deaths of real people who suffer in so many ways from corporations like Monsanto, the For Profit Prisons, for instance.

Until women learn to be hard negotiators they will always earn less than their male co-worker. We had engineers working shift work with us reactor operators. The female thought she had a fair salary until the engineers compared salaries, companies don’t want that to happen. Well next time her salary came up she negotiated hard and actually ended up making more than her co-workers. The main thing with these comparisons is you have to compare apples to apples, different jobs no matter how small the difference can make huge differences in salaries.
