I just looked it up on Wikipedia. A megasaurus is a “transforming robotic dinosaur… modeled after a Tyrannosaurus rex and [has] hydraulically activated arms, grasping claws, and jaws, as well as flame throwers set up in the head to give the effect of breathing fire from the mouth.” There was a dinosaur called megalosaurus, which weighed about 700 kg (1540 lbs).

This is the far future, maybe besides remaking them they made a few of their own. The Toxoplasmosis gondii altered to enhance animal intelligence gave them bigger brains and languages.
