    I did that ONCE.

My tracks, however, ended just past the tree trunk.

Kissing a tree is NOT enjoyable. Trust me, I know.

Cartoon physics. Sonny Bono and John Denver couldn’t do that.

Who does he think he is, Michael Schumacher or Sonny Bono?

The explanation is both obvious and simple:

In order to avoid hitting the tree, he had to shift one of his skis from the side it was on to the other side.

To be doubly sure of being safe, he did that with both skis.

Ah yes. The infamous Bono maneuver. Apparently, he mastered it where others have failed.

This follows the theory " That if it was not observed, it did not happen" One of the most bizarre premises of quantum theory, which has long fascinated philosophers and physicists alike, states that by the very act of watching, the observer affects the observed reality. Really, they said that!!! Now you try it!!!
