I once told a potential landlord that I was a painter. He thought I painted walls and things, so we got the lease. I’m not sure we would of got it if he knew I meant artist.

Yes – people who draw comics are in a category all their own.

“You sure cartoonist isn’t on the list. Should be there, right under street-corner philosopher.”BTW, I don’t mean that. I think cartoonists leave this world better than they found it.

Maybe not up there with tattooing, but it’s art.
