He was almost right. Instead “Black Friday” sales started near November 1st, but people still took Thanksgiving day off. I enjoyed my turkey, especially since I able to buy one at $0.37 a pound.
It seems consumers and stores have pushed back and have returned to being closed for Thanksgiving. REI Co-Op and other stores are also closed today.
I assume the resemblance to the plague doctor was coincidental, no?
