Plant daffodils. Squirrels won’t eat them.

I have occasionally found tulip bulbs in places I did not plant them. I have also found places where I DID plant some bulbs all dug up. Don’t know how the squirrels find them (they must have a really good sense of smell), but I have stopped planting tulips and now just have daffodils.

I wish I could talk in pictures. Guess I don’t use the right balloons.

Remember to plant them pointy end up. My mother planted a whole bunch upside down and didn’t realize it until the next spring with nothing came up. A couple years later, we bought some more. I came home from school and she told me she remembered to plant them pointy end down this time. I laughed because I thought she was joking. Next day she had to dig them up again and replant pointy end up. She found most, but not all of them under the pine straw mulch she used in the flower beds.

We plant ours and plant moth balls with them. Helps mask the scent so the squirrels don’t go after them
