One of my nieces posted a bunch of pictures on Facebook of her and her sisters doing this while on vacation. I thought it was odd, but at least I now understand the reference.

It’s pretty neat! It was actually started in 1997 by two lads in England but it’s spread like wildfire worldwide in the last few years.
