We always had our kids friends all over our house. That’s the way you want it. I just made extra for dinner as a matter of course, and I loved every minute of it. They still talk about how welcome everyone was! We even took extra kids on vacation with us.

This is known as “parallel play,” and it’s just as satisfying to a group of kids as playing a game together, oddly enough.

Rudeness for what point? Perhaps you were looking in a mirror?

No, YOU dumbass! What was wrong with what 2old said? It’s the way parents used to be. While I rarely had dinner at my friends’ houses, it was natural that if their mom gave them a treat they gave me one too since I was playing there. My mom did the same thing. But that was the good old days!
