A new and credible theory is that the best password is a series of words with spaces such as, “grains sleep in the tree”. The spaces are important because they count as wildcards. There are some password checking websites that can tell you how many days/years it would take current hacking software to guess your password. I put one of those silly made up sentences through a couple of those and both came up that it would take over a million years (literally) for hacking software to discover that password.
Update to my last comment: I just put that made up password “grains sleep in the tree” in one of those password checkers and it said, “It would take a desktop PC about 37 sextillion years to crack your password”
Of course, I never recommend you use your real password on those sites but to make up one using the same formula will tell you if your real one is secure.

Why would a “real hacker” waste time with Betty’s account? Her phone code password would stop most casual hacks.
