I have a ladder stored upright next to a shed that is next to the house. I had a cat that would climb the ladder and jump from the shed to the house roof. She would survey her kingdom.

If there was a continuation of this strip, what do you think would be the most likely thing to happen? Do you think…

A.) Nate tries to get Spitsy down and then educates him on “proper dogmanship”

B.) Nate also goes up to see what they’re doing and then freaks out because he sees a cat.

C.) Nate tells Mr. Eustis, (the owner of Spitsy), about this and goes into some ironic conversation that leaves Nate even more “I can’t take it”

D.) Nothing happens and Nate goes back home

If Spitsy learns to “tree” a cat, he could soon be moving on to “treeing” Nate like other vicious dogs. Spitsy’s innocence and gentleness is what makes him more likeable.

It’s not a tree house. It’s a love nest.

it’s a shame that Spitsy has more a love life that Nate.
