Okay yguy! Did you see my post about the bridge, right before turnover? So, are we sharing the cooking duties for breakfast? I know you said it was on you, but I’ll be glad to help out!

okay. various juices (orange, peach, cran razz, and apple) buttered toast (whole wheat, multi grain, and rye. take your pick - and skip the butter if you don’t want any.) eggs, any style as long as it’s scrambled. (did you ever notice how scrambled eggs seem to go farther than eggs cooked other styles?) bacon, sausage, ham, or peameal bacon. nuclear coffee, and teas including earl grey, gunpowder, oolong, chai, and irish breakfast (light on the whiskey - it’s Sunday, after all).

My alarm clock is in a place where I have to get up to turn it off! I have too, otherwise, I wouldn’t get up!

Dry i take it you are talking about the covered bridge on the way to Ithaca from Horseheads? i’m glad you like it. i’ve been remiss in posting photos to share sites. i’ve decided to use photo bucket instead of picasa, but haven’t been on there to finish my first album, yet, (and it’s been weeks). Rmom posts photos there as well, and i haven’t even had the time to look at her latest ones yet. her sunsets are gorgeous. Carmy i use my cell alarm as well. i leave it on the dresser so i have to get up to turn it off and, once up, i rarely flop back down.

i’m still buzzing around, doing several things at once. watched a bit of “the war wagon” on AMC this afternoon. didn’t know Kirk Douglas had done a film with the Duke. it was kind of funny, if not very spectacular. they seemed to be going through the motions.

Yguy You are probably already too late on the accomadations if you want somewhere close by! They hold lotteries for the rooms during graduation week a YEAR ahead of time! Trust me, been there, done that! We were lucky enough to get rooms at the Hilton Gardens in Horseheads only because I kept calling and somone had cancelled. Good luck, you best start checking NOW!

Too many Buds last night, Lonewolf?

It’s a beautiful day down here on the Gulf Coast. It was was a foggy, cool start, but when the fog lifted I decided to take a ride over to Kemah and take a few laps around the boardwalk. It was a sparkling, picture-perfect morning on the Bay.

I’m thinking it is something else Grog. I didn’t have but a couple of the Buds. LOL

Grog, when I was stationed at Ft Hood, we had to make a trip to the LBJ Space Center. I wanted so bad to get to the boardwalk, but we were so busy that it never panned out for us! Very disappointed. Though I have been to the River Walk in San Antonio numerous times.

LuvH8, they’re just crawling out of the wood work aren’t they? I was just giving CA_QUERCUS a heads up that he could see more of the same. Now it looks like there’s going to be a Royal Rumble over at B.C. Was there a full moon last night?

Isn’t that a hoot, Lonewolf. I’ve always wanted to go to San Antonio. I’d like to see the River Walk & the Alamo. I’ll get there yet.

Even though I’ve been to Boston a couple of times, I never got to Fenway…another dream. I’d also like to visit Chicago some day and Wrigley for an afternoon game.

Doctor Toon There are plenty of people with chips on their shoulders out there. I do wish they’d go somewhere else to vent. There are certainly enough other forums available.

I do share your reasons for coming here. There are plenty of people with a good sense of humor that keeps me coming back for more.

Grog no rumbles for me! I will shout if I want to, it’s a lot better than what some do, and they are lucky they can’t actually hear me. (I’ve startled a whole room of teens recently!) There is worse things going on as you all know. But I did take offense at being called an underdog. Okay, not really but I pretended. I think it will be okay at BC, if not I will try not to be an instigator.

Oh, that was redundent of me. I don’t like the name calling, but I think it reflects more on the immaturity (Yes, I know I am one to talk!) of the person typing the names than the one being typed at.

Doc T It seems I can no longer laugh without it turning maniacal. But sometimes my laugh echoes in places that don’t usually echo. I get requests both to do and not to do it. It is a great way to get attention when you need it, and a great threat to cause teenagers to behave themselves in public!

Grog–The Chicago Wolves & the Rockford Ice Hogs are playing today. It’s AHL not NHL, but it is a lot of fun and much more relaxed than a Blackhawks game. Less expensive too!. The Rockford team is the Blackhawks farm team.

I am in the middle of making a picture disc for Wolfangil’s friend. I am lightscribing a disc right now.

When I lived in Montreal, Loneowolf, I used to watch Metro Junior-B hockey. Very entertaining and like you say a lot cheaper than the bigs. And you get to see some future stars in action.

Lonewolf, I even saw some minor league baseball while in Edmonton. I forget who they were a farm team for, but it seamed that they changed hands every couple years.

That’s good Lonewolf, in that case hug him twice. I like the games where the teams aren’t the Pros better. They tend to be more fun!

Good afternoon, tribe! I should be back more this evening, but it is naptime now. Just wanted to say thanks to yyyguy for the compliments on my sunset photos. I’m glad others can appreciate the beauty, too. (The two males in my household that are geeks, just don’t seem to appreciate sunsets like I do. The other one likes them in real time, but thinks I’m a bit nuts for rushing out with my camera.)

cameras are technology’s way of making memories last. the game is over and Canada won their record setting 14th gold medal of the games. the whole country is partying now. the main street in downtown Toronto has been closed down because of all the people celebrating (and we’re only about 3000 miles away)!

as i said to my sister, a great victory requires an opponent that provides enough a challenge to leave the result in doubt until the end of the contest. this was all of that, and a friendly rivalry on top of it. truly the best kind of contest.

Yguy, we had Chicago players on both teams and Sidney Crosby is a favorite of mine right after P Kane and J Toews, So I’m happy either way!

Grog, thanks. We had fun at the game for sure. The Wolves won 4-2 and there were more people there than I thought there would be. James is developing an quite an interest in hockey now.

Lonewolf it’s a great sport, especially when the emphasis is on playing to win rather than playing to “not lose” - which is what often happens at the higher pro levels. the minor pros, such as the Wolves, are more interested in making an impression on the scouts than they are in winning for it’s own sake, which leads to much more excitement and what i consider a “purer” form of the game.

Doc’s getting spoiled, Doc’s getting spoiled! I’ll have to have a talk with that girl! :-)

Well Grog I have about 5 years on you! That show was one of the best, wonder why they only have the first season out. When I signed up for Blockbuster online, they had the first 3 seasons, when I went for the rest of the seasons, they were removed. They still have Barney MIller, though. Ever watch that?

Lonewolf Well I try to be, but usually it is very trying. I had an urge to go correct someone today. But I have been good so far. (of course I haven’t checked back on those comments yet).

So true, Dry. Saturdays (when I was home) for the Bristish comedy and Mondays (Newhar & Mouthy Brown) and Thursdays (Cheers, Wings) were what I thought were the best. I used to go to University at night and tried to schedule classes for Tuesdays & Wednesdays no that I could be home for my favorite TV nights.

These days it just wouldn’t matter.

I have to say, even though I was born in Canada, I was pulling for the American Hockey Team, but Canada’s team did everything they needed to do. Go Canada & go Canadian Tribe members.

Terry - You do have a much more joyful outlook on life than my hubby, so I don’t think the second word is applicable to you.

Grog Mouthy Murphy Brown! LOL! Sounds like we liked a LOT of the same shows! Every one you’ve mentioned, and I love Britisth Comedy too! And British Mysteries! No comedy shows today are any good! But these days I only watch “24”, the “CSI’s” and my soap opera that I have watched since day one with my mom. And of course the NFL! Weather Channel, News and other sports when the need arises.

UncleWhy it was very brave of you to comment on Non Sequitur today. No one else wanted to join the fray?

Boy two major accidents that closed down I-5 in one week. I won’t know until tomorrow, but there was a major back up that may have pushed people all the way back to the Canadian border. All Southbound lanes were blocked and traffic was directed to side roads. Combining this with Olympics traffic, there was a lot of traffic. Plus it was a gorgeous day so everybody was out. Coming down the canyon on our way home a charter bus, probably Olympics had missed the entry to the freeway and had tried to turn around in a subdivision hillside entrance and the back of the bus got hung up on the road way because the road was to steep for the length of the bus, so it was interesting getting home from town today with two mishaps. Fortunately, my wife noticed that traffic was at a standstill on the freeway and we didn’t attempt to get on it.

LuvH8 - I’m not sure if you have to have a photobucket account to see my pictures or not. Terry would know more about that than I do. Terry - But “incorrigible” sounds better than “hardheaded.” LOL!

Cleo - Good thing LilG noticed the traffic snarl, and you knew an alternate route to take.

You know what, Dry I do remember those days, now that you mention it, from my teen years. Yes, they were among the best of TV Times. MTM is another big fav of mine as well as the Bob Newhart Show.

I have the full B.N. collection and have the last two years on M.T.M. to go, but they are available now for purchase.

Dry, do you remember Lou Grant. I wasn’t on for long, but it, too, was on on Monday nights. I loved that show.

I was watching Ax Men and now I’m watching a show called Prehistoric on the Discovery Channel.

Oh my gosh! LOL! Story!

When I worked at KFC there was this couple who would steam up the windows of one of their cars, on the street outside the drive-thru window. One day one of my co-workers walked up to the car knocked on the window and asked “Whatcha doing?”

They must have changed their meeting place after that, because I don’t remember seeing them again.

I was signing the receipt for my credit card purchase when the clerk noticed that I had never signed my name on the back of the credit card. She informed me that she could not complete the transaction unless the card was signed.
