We’re having a really neat thunderstorm right now. The rain has been rather intense for about 10 minutes, and it’s passing to the east. Figure they’ll have a tornado out of it in Billings again.

LuvH8 - I think that the Gimp program will work at www.gimp.org - It works with Windows XP and Vista so even though it doesn’t say Windows 7 yet shouldn’t it work? (I am still on Windows XP due to my computers being unable to handle the newer operating systems.) It may have a learning curve if you are not used to it’ but you only need to learn what you want and have fun playing with other things to learn them. It’s powerful, good, and free! Something to have fun with if nothing else! If it can’t work with Windoes 7 it soon should.

Free is good. I was using photoimpact but to update for my new computer would be $70. Ummm…. think not.

LuvH8 - Gimp is the the full Photoshop program and can be made to act like it or other things. I haven’t had time or need to learn to change the way it appears. A lot of features you may not need so don’t try to learn everything and get upset! Just play around with it doing what you want to and you should do alright. For example, unless you have Zip or Bz2 (?) you can’t download the help programe. Use the online help (same think) and you don’t have to figure how to download it.

Gimp similar to Open Office concept which is free, works like Microsoft Office and is developed by volunters from around the world.

Yeah, I think I need the new zip/rar whatever program too. I don’t like change and doing all this for myself.

DOC TOON–I commented on your new avatar on Argyle earlier and now I have my answer.

My bluebird is getting a bit tired of sitting but haven’t looked elsewhere for another avatar.

I wondered if that weather was heading your way Rmom, missed us here completely. So strange before my Rt shoulder got worked on I would feel the weather hit my Rt shoulder down my arm. So far long after surgery and fairly close to be healed in muscle not that type of weather pain. Also with my arm between wrist and elbow I would really feel in twisting. So I guess when Dr. Melhorn took all that arthritis out worked.:) I came very close to asking assistant with photob. Sat. we lost power briefly, pain to set clocks, came back on and I wanted to look up those African pictures, amazing, Tried different tactics, also went to Word where I have a lot saved on, finally got it.

Yea I have to drive in it for this week to work. A least a couple months ago saved up enough money to get my A/C on my car worked on. Because now before father’s day my hubby’s truck had an bad accident with a different SUV, both lost and hubby was found wrong. So with this bad heat A/C is a must. My car is red outside but dark inside and for it winter is the best time not summer gets like a broiler inside with windows down.

Sojo - Sounds like I’m just deteriorating faster than you, since I remember you’re older. LOL! I’ve got a lot of errands to do in town tomorrow, so I’m going to take the car with the best a/c!

I believe you’ve all captured the essense of my favorite things: Beer, good food, good classic movies, good classic music, art & toons.

Of course I do love my classic planes trains and automobiles, but they are a tad too expensive to collect. It would cost a fortune to purchase one of those steam engines or even one of those WWl flying machines.

One thing you all missed is that I am also a Trekker, which I watch religiously on Sunday nights, except during Football season.

Rmom - I doubt that your deteriorating faster than me, the weather just doesn’t bother me. (Maybe because I’m not in good enough shape to feel it!) LOL

In costume, of course, LuvH8 One of my buddies played Kirk and wore the command gold. He even had a phaser. Another good buddie was Spock and had the ears to go with it. The other was “Bones” McCoy. I wore Scotty’s red uniform.

I have everything except Deep Space 9. I hated that series.
