hi Tribe (i’d say good morning but it isn’t morning any more.) to Simpsonfan2: the Tribe began from people who saw each others’ comments on a regular basis beginning to create friendships between themselves. the group has moved around between a few different strips but settled here, which was where i joined them. people have come and gone over time, but we remain a welcoming bunch and have only a few rules that all here have agreed to follow. they are:

play nicely. we like things to be friendly here. no politics allowed. no religion allowed. first commenter provides a breakfast menu that all later visitors may partake of (if they wish). that’s essentially it - i will leave it to others to provide greater details (and any corrections) if required.

FYI I sent GC a general request on Saturday, February 19 concerning the avatars, messed up posting and having to relog. I received a reply on February 23 saying they had been unaware of the problem and were looking into it. I think several of us have sent messages.

Whoa! No one’s posted for a couple of hours?

Are we playing hide-and-go-seek? My hubby decided he was up to going back to work today, even though he had (minor) surgery yesterday. I’m his chauffer, shoe tie-er, bell hop, etc. Couldn’t get my laptop to connect to the internet for several hours, so I’m running behind schedule.

Hi, Sojo & simpsonfan! simpsonfan - I didn’t see it the first time around either. Most of the time it isn’t obvious, but occasionally there is a formerly current event/celebrity or holiday reference that doesn’t quite “mesh” with today.

Sojo - Did you get nasty weather today? It rained pretty hard most of the day, thankfully, it started toward the end of the long commute.

Rmom - Very little here. stayed above freezing until sunset.

Sojo - Kind of wondered. My sons had class tonight, and I was surprised, that it wasn’t cancelled if freezing rain or sleet had fallen.

We had a little unwelcome excitement on the commute this morning. Not only did I have to swerve to avoid a skunk waddling on my lane, but I hit something. We think it was a bobcat, and it tore up a little of the front plastic. That cat darted out real fast! I don’t know if my hubby was driving would have made a difference, because his night vision is better, plus he’s got quicker reaction time. At least he had his eyes open and saw the whole thing unfold, so didn’t seem to get too upset about the whole deal.

Rmom - That would keep you awake!

Sojo - Considering this probably happened around 5am, I’m surprised how wide awake I was before - didn’t have any trouble staying awake the rest of the drive, either.

Wolfie - Other than tearing up the A6 a bit, and serving my hubby more than usual, not bad. I’ll be glad when he can pick up whatever he’s dropped again!

Wolfie - Was it busy at work today? Get any nasty weather up your direction?

Wolfie - Thanks! It seems I notice the sunsets better in the winter, with my kitchen window facing south-southwest, and the leaves gone. It used to be I needed at least 12 pictures a year for my in-laws when I made calendars for the extended family. Now that I bought them a digital photo frame, I don’t have to spend the $ on ink, but probably need to provide more pictures for them each year. My sons & hubby don’t want to be in many of them, either. Which leaves mostly scenic shots.

As for the weather I have heard reports of any where from 3-5 inches to 4-9 inches of snow during the night. Who knows until it arrives?!
