    After having four days off in a row, my hubby said he could get used to that. I reminded him that next Monday was Memorial Day (a holiday for him) and Tuesday was my follow-up appointment with the cardiologist, which gives him a good excuse for taking the day off. I don’t think he’ll be able to keep having 4-day weekends for very long, though.

    @LuvH8I prefer Road Runner & Wylie E. Coyote. Of course, between homeschooling and no cable TV, I never got in the habit of watching daytime TV. If I found a program that I liked, the commercials were TMI for my sons. We just buy or borrow the DVD’s (or VHS) and watch what we want, when we want, without the commercials.

    Big Sister I remember the Monkeys and my sister watched that show.Does anyone dolandscapingg or flower to garden’s at your homes? I realize some of you may have apartment’s and you can have a small box with flowers growing.Here in ICT used to have a Lawn and Garden home show for the past 40 years. But due to low turn out the sponsor who organizes this event put a stop to it. A local school would build a picnic table to be sold to help with their needs now not gonna happen.

    At least I’ve already met the GI doctor – he did my husband’s recent hernia surgery. Also, the appointment with him is just two hours before my appointment with the cardiologist (and lunch time in between), and their offices could be considered within walking distance, if I could walk a “normal” distance.

    Hello all busy day on BT. Kansas City, MO is under tornado warning. Why so many? Weather guys say due to vortex. The Sojourner glad your relatives are spared.SRMom at least you are finding out some of your health problems.For me a two or three years ago I found out by accident I have two small stones I don’t want anymore, mine would be to fat content from cholesterolol so I really am very careful oeatingng. I don’t want anymore. stones.

    Hello. If you see this Big Sister wnat I wrote earlier on not on to much starting next week. I didn’t consider typing the way you said. And Thanks Bmonk My mom does drink lots of water and takes prescription for her bladder and UTI infection this still continues. For me the two small stones has to do with my body not processing foods on fats this is why I have to be careful. I takmaintenancece meds for this.

    Just talked to my hubby. Prayers are needed for his co-worker’s sister & family. Not only did her husband die in the tornado, while he was in Home Depot, their house and vehicles got flooded. Top it all off, Sunday was one of their kids’ birthday. I can’t imagine trying to deal with a house & vehicles ruined by flood waters AND the death of a spouse at the same time.

    The nurse suggested lots of cranberry juice and adding cranberry pills for UTIs, you might want to consider it for your mom. Also, making sure there plenty of vitamin C. It rained on me today……. how does this count against whirlies?

    Hi, Luv! – I’ve heard cranberry juice is good for UTIs also.

    Be thankful that you only got rain. We got rain here today, but nothing severe, thankfully.

    I don’t know if it was the 18 or the 13 year old’s birthday, but that would be a horrible thing to have happen anytime, but on one’s birthday would make it really bad. I did schedule Mom’s funeral on my brother’s birthday, but since it was his 55th, I didn’t think it would bother him.

    Kab…….regarding the UTI…….I was told the cranberry juice thing, also. But, the doc said to take 500 mg to 1000 mg tablet of vitamin C just before going to bed. The body excretes the excess vitamin C in the form of an acid, and it sits in the bladder overnight, killing lots and lots of bacteria. It works!!!!

    She can have sugar. Two weeks ago doctor did lab work and she borders diabetic. Not sure if there is acid in cranberry. She cannot eat oranges or grades mouth for cancer sores. Absolutely no bananas high allergic.Former Pastor who is retired lives in the Ozarks and okay, his son lives by that hospital and now no house. So many people lost loved ones from that horrible tornado.

    Kab Sister If she has sores in her mouth, definitely go with pill form of Vitamin C and Cranberry. The Vitamin C will also help with healing the mouth sores. If she is avoiding acidic food she is probably not getting enough to heal either thing properly.

    Cranberry helps the lining of the bladder etc. be slippery to the bacteria so it doesn’t stick and gets flushed out.

    I must be getting tired. The canker sore for her mouth is from eatting oranges or grapes.I just received a heart felt e-mail, just bear with me my mind is not on writing right, this e-mail someone sent is legimate. Has to do with all that tornado activity from Joplin, MO. Apparently that massive cell blew debree not only to Springfield but to Cartilage, MO a lady is trying to find the owner of some personal items. Had my name right except the middle initial was wrong. I did let her know this.Like The Sojourner said good night. I will be gone most of day Thursday. I have to do a training. Then in future I have to miss 4 hours. I’m thinking of July 1st as a start. Then later I need to miss another 8 hours.
