I live alone and just roast turkey breasts- year round and I probably eat it almost 100 days of the year, but I also make my own pepperoni pizza with whole wheat dough and brocalli in the low salt sauce and I love both the way I fix them with really good trimmings. I also have parboiled butternut squash and yams in my freezer all the time (it’s not too much work to eat really well and NO processed foods). I still buy a lovely piece of tenderloin once in a while and sometimes some shrimp or scallops, but I’m in AZ where supermarkets only have good frozen seafood.

bmonk, I’ll take turkey leftovers on day 365 over pizza any time.

I love turkey leftovers. Of course, when you live alone, you don’t buy a whole turkey, or you would be eating it 365 days- or Grog would!
