Other than the pair of sleepy eyes on the flask on the shelf, I don’t see no stinkin’ faces! I thought for sure there would be something in Gene Wilder’s hair………………………….Where is Lew when you need him most?

It’s a hummingbird designed by a committee and built to government specifications.

Turdunny?Does that can on the shelf under the table say ‘Primordial Soup’?M L, There’s SOMETHING in his hair. If I tilt my head to the right, it looks kinda like a kitten and if I tilt to the left, like a lion. More than just faces and right above his eye.

For me, it’s an omen. Today I start an experimental chemo treatment, and this pretty well sums up the side effects. Thanks for the smile, Thom.

Anyone notice the lions hind leg and tail on that thing? It must be a gryphon (whatever) of some sort.

    That government bill has teeth!

We made up a bird out of taxidermy “spare parts” for an ornithology exam. I characterized it as a “Western Dabbling Gull-footed Thrushpecker!”

I’ve never read this strip, and just wandered by….

I know probably no one will see this so late…. but the face thing caught my attention.

I see four in the scientist’s hair.

    1) A large, sleepy kitten that I think is what Larry meant, possibly resting its head against its paws, along the forehead right above the glasses.

    2) to the right of the kittens eyes (our right), sideways, a much smaller cartoon monkey face, with kissy lips, its chin on the cat’s temple.

3, to the right of that, the clearest one — a cartoon man, with a bent nose, and a wry expression.

The detail is all there — sideburns, eyeballs, skinny neck, even cheeks.

and 4) on the far right of the head, to us, over the unseen left ear, a funny face with a huge droopy nose, and possibly a droopy night cap like cartoon moons wear.

As I said, I’ve never read this strip so I don’t know what the faces usually look like…. but those sure look face-like to me.

    Anybody else?
