Tweren’t no big deal. Three years during Viet Nam. Worked mostly in Panama at the Tropic Test Center supporting testing of stuff for Nam. I did also work a year as a research assistant for army’s weather modification experimenters. I recently googled some of the people I worked with on the latter and they’re still doing research in that area.
I am most honored to have so many veterans reading my comic. Thank you all for all you sacrificed, all you saw, all you did, all you went through and all you lost… for suffering the pain of combat so the rest of us could enjoy the fruits of freedom and security. I have relatives who have fought in every war back to the Revolutionary War (that far back is on my wife’s side of the family), so this is a most poignant and heart-felt day for our family and me and this small tribute is but a pittance of what our warriors are due. Thank you for my freedom and for keeping our country safe. You truly are heroes – even if you don’t think you are!Thom

@ Dry- not by the Veterans I’m sure! But you are right, that the Army Nurses get overlooked all to often.
