Legends are just that – Legends. Jesus told his “Jewish” Disciple to have nothing to do with Samaritans. (Mixture of Jews and Gentiles) Of course we Gentiles were called DOGS while Jewish were The Chosen People of God at that time but Jesus and the Cross brought all people under GRACE not LAW.Acts 8:14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God (after the resurrection and accension of Jesus), they sent Peter and John to Samaria (James brother of Christ sent them). Acts 8:15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, Acts 8: 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. They had received water baptism of man. From Peter and John they received the Holy Spirit Baptism of Living Water (Word of God) and sins washed away by Blood of Jesus and this baptism places one into the Body of Christ – we called THE CHURCH.1 Corinthians 12:13 – For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Gentile, and all were made to drink of one Spirit. Eph 2:8 for by Grace thru Faith are you saved.
