2015: GoComics Year in Review
by GoComicsIt's been an incredibly exciting year for GoComics. From launching dozens of new comics to celebrating major anniversaries and cheering on talented cartoonists, we've had a blast! Among the good times, we also witnessed tear-inducing moments, with retirements, tragedies and deaths. Let's take a look back over the past year:
Year of the Unicorn: Dana Simpson's Phoebe and Her Unicorn debuted in more than 100 newspapers.
Our publishing division released the beautiful "Exploring Calvin and Hobbes," featuring original art and an in-depth 35-page interview with Bill Watterson.
A Vulcan Salute to Leonard Nimoy: Cartoonists celebrate the life of the popular actor behind Mr. Spock of "Star Trek."
Stephan Pastis, Michael Ramierz and Glenn McCoy were honored with NCS Division Awards.
Considered one of the best cartoonists of the 21st century, Richard Thompson's "The Complete Cul de Sac" won the Eisner Award for Best Humor Publication.
51 new comics landed on the GoComics roster.
Cartoonists reacted to the heartbreaking attack at Charlie Hebdo in Paris. A Tribute: Part 1 and Part 2
Berkeley Breathed returned to Bloom County after 25 years, shocking and thrilling readers.
Nick Seluk's "Heart and Brain: An Awkward Yeti Collection" released with stellar 5-star reviews.
We lost two talented, beloved cartoonists.
