Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson

As booklovers know, a good book has the power to transport you to an alternate universe as you get lost in the pages and experience the character's feelings as your own.

During National Young Readers Week (Nov. 9 to 13), we wanted to share an AMP! Comics for Kids series that is sure to instill the love of reading in young ones.

Dana Simpson has created the perfect potion to entertain young readers, consisting of sparkles, unicorns, friendships and adventures. Truly magical, Simpson's "Phoebe and Her Unicorn" and "Unicorn on a Roll" follow the unlikely friendship between Phoebe, a 9-year-old daydreamer, and Marigold, a vain mythical beast.  

As fans will tell you, two collections just isn't enough. And to that, we say, "We have good news!" Simpson's third collection, "Unicorn vs. Goblins" hits bookshelves next February!
