In honor of punctuation's big day, I present you with my Top 5 punctuation marks:

5. Ellipses: They're great for adding a pause ... though they're often overused.

4. Parentheses: Every time I see parentheses, I hope something snarky will follow. (It usually doesn't.)

3. Semicolon: The semicolon can be tricky to use; it tests your punctuation skills.

2. Exclamation point: Using an exclamation point is exciting! It just is!

1. Dash: The best punctuation out there - no ifs, ands or buts.
