Take A Bite Out Of These Chip And Dip Day Comics
by Caleb GoellnerEverybody loves chips. And thanks to Freak Nasty's 1996 dance hit, most people have at least some affinity for dips. Thank the Great Cosmic Chip, because without these inherent truths most middling Tex-Mex eateries would go out of business, cutting deeply into strip mall economies across the United States. Sorry guys, nobody is coming for your chimichangas. It's the bottomless free appetizers.
That's why Chip and Dip Day is so important. It makes us reflect on the value of low-to-mid-level casual dining. No, not the financial value (which is obvious), but the social value. We're not sure what it is because we can never remember what's been said. All that medium spice heat usually causes us to black out after our third or fourth dipped chip.
Maybe these comics will shed some light on things? If nothing else, they're fun to read!
