11 Cheesy Comics For National Nachos Day
by The GoComics TeamOne of North America's foremost snack foods -- or meals, if you're feeling bold -- is surprisingly modern. If you were born any time after 1943, then National Nachos Day should feel as culinarily significant as, say, Apple Day. Nachos have just plain always been around, haven't they? Not so! It took the ingenuity of one Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya (nicknamed due to his shorter stature), a restuarant worker in the Mexico/United States border town of Piedra Negras, to craft the tortilla chip + melted cheese concoction. And the people of the world thank him, today and every day they crave salty, crunchy, fatty, spicy nacho goodness.
We salute Anaya this National Nachos Day, with this gallery of 11 comics where his nacho creation is king!
