If you think the daily barrage of tweets, leaks and outright skullduggery coming out of Washington is overwhelming, imagine what it's like for the poor souls who live there? 

That's the dilemma faced by the two characters of Mo, a new weekly feature by editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes that debuts today on GoComics. Mo is an easily frazzled waitress who works in a Beltway restaurant, and struggles to cope with today's tense political climate and presidential tweets. Her friend, the restaurant's bartender, is Mo's opposite, observing the 24-hour news cycle with cool, wry detachment--most of the time, anyway.

Mo's creator is no stranger to D.C. politics. Tenaes is a longtime editorial cartoonist for The Washington Post, where she has won a 2001 Pulitzer Prize, as well as a Reuben for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 2016. She creates cartoons in various mediums for the Post, including animations, visual essays, live sketches and traditional print.
