Love is in the air this month. Which begs the question for the love-struck everywhere: How do you woo the girl or guy who makes your heart stop?

Here are a few ideas from the playbook of our own middle school icon, Desmond Pucket, courtesy of the JUST-RELEASED "Desmond Pucket and the Cloverfield Junior High Carnival of Horrors":

• Give her a good, fun scare. That's what Desmond does best, right?

• Compliment her. "Your hair smells like gummy worms" is a good start.

• But don't, under any circumstances, follow her to the old gym if she's going there from the school dance with another boy "...
