I feel like I screwed up the national anthem at the Super Bowl.Where, oh where are you tonight? Why did you leave me here, all alone?Searched the world over ’n thought I found true love. You met another and thpppt you was gone.I prefer the Bloom County thpppt instead of the documented Hee Haw Pffft.

In the last few years, I’ve come to realize just how good the music was on Hee Haw. Still hate pringles.

Dear Nyuk, HeeHaw was the final nail in the CBS 1960s rural coffin, a hayseed clone of the then-most-popular tv show “Laugh-In.” Actually produced in Nashville, it featured Archie Campbell, the Mayor Bulls Gap, TN reciting stories such as his spoonerized version of “Rindercella and her three sad blisters.” Each week had a musical guest from the Country community. The show was well-received between the coasts, but not so well in democrat-controlled areas.
