Saving America the way it was under Bush? Vast deficits as far as the eye can see, unfunded and unjustified wars, huge giveaways to oil companies and threats to take all the money I’ve put into social security and use it to eliminate taxes on the rich? I think I’ll pass.
I’m upset that Obama has “folded” on too many “leftovers” from the previous administration, like Gitmo, and “tax breaks”.
Folks like Jeff DO need to realize they ARE “W” policies, and like Reagan’s, disastrous. REAGAN inherited a national debt of under a trillion dollars, and left office with it climbing over FOUR TRILLION, and rising, even with HIS TAX INCREASES to try to stop the flood of debt, HE CREATED!
Soaring debt was NOT “progress” under Reagan/41 at 500percent increase, Clinton 24% in eight years and a balanced budget, or the next doubling, now in trillions, not billions, of “W”/Cheney. (and that still doesn’t include the eventual cost of Iraq and Afghan wars)
If the starting point was the same for both, this criticism could make sense. However, mitten’s change is to go backwards to all of the mess left by shrubster and cheney. We need to move forward, not backwards with change.
Well, yes, because Bush is generally acknowledged to be the worst President since the office of President was elected. So, change from that, good thing. Romney wants to go back to those failed policies. So, change back to that, bad thing. Oh, and no one is calling Romney a racist, but elitist is an apt charge for someone who spends $100,000 a year on horse ballet.

Everyone knows the GOP’s plan is to change this country to favor the rich and destroy the middle class. That’s change we can do without.

Romney’s full quote is, “Change back.”
