The folks I know who support T Rump are racist, xejophobic, sexist, homophobic…they love the US but have limited their use of all sorts of media and rely on only one news channel…FOX. FOX is not fair and balanced regarding their news feeds.
Donald Trump doesn’t have the temperament for president. One of the reasons is because he resorts to name calling. Half of Trump’s supporters are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic or Islamophobic. Telling a racist he is racist is not name calling.
Do many of Trump’s supporters actually know what those words mean, or their negative connotations? I remember years ago, in one of his man-in-the-street – interview segments, Steve Allen went outside his studio and asked various male pedestrians, “Are you now, or have you ever been — a heterosexual?” They vehemently denied it, were in fact insulted at the perceived implication. .Look, most people live ordinary lives, unaffected by literary allusions and intellectual nomenclature. I think that’s much of the appeal of Trump — he gives what appears to be Straight Talk, whereas it’s actually Con Talk. He puts one arm around his crowd’s collective shoulder, and with the other picks their pockets. I work with people like that, and even have some as in-laws. .On the other side, Hillary Clinton seems supercilious and condescending, the School Marm with a wooden ruler, the Nurse with a spoonful of bad-tasting medicine. I know she’s been waiting in the wings for this last chance at the presidency, but she should have given up after 2008. All those extra credits on her resume have skillfully been used against her.
People who don’t understand just how bad Trump stinks are blind to his amazing amount of truly disgusting behavior in a position that should exclude troglodyte Trump from even amused consideration. Next Republican election I’’d be surprised if they don’t run Charles Manson.
That’s not name calling. It’s “defining.” What I find interesting is that she assumes the other half of Trump supporters are reasonable, intelligent people — but they won’t distance themselves from the haters and crazies. I think she gives Trump supporters too much credit, not too little.

Is it better to be an ignorant bigot or to knowingly pander to/associate yourself with bigots?

Libprogs? What a childish, simpleminded bit of namecalling. Utterly deplorable.

It’s not name-calling when you’re telling the truth. It’s a warning to moderate Repubs (yes, they do exist) what they’re aligning themselves with.

You mean it is perfectly all right for him to call all Muslims terrorists and Mexicans killers and rapists?
