TV: President Bush, following up yesterday's ban on civilian psychic activity, announced the "psychic selective service act," whereby Americans with paranormal abilities would be required to register for a possible draft into the FBI or the CIA. Attorney General Ashcroft said today, "we're letting the terrorists know we mean business - that we'll find them even if we have to use spooky metaphysical and/or supernatural means to do so!" Said one psychic who wished not to be identified, "I knew this would happen."

Somewhere today Ashcroft is singing that piece of claptrap he wrote about the American eagle. Badly.

Why doesn’t the gov’t just hire people with psychic abilities to track all the others with these abilities? Then they wouldn’t have to register with the Draft Board–they could just send them telepathic messages when the gov’t needs them!
