Huey: The beef industry and the government have been covering up the danger of mad cow disease for years. I mean, they sued Oprah just for talking about it. The media's been scared to death to touch this issue. Caesar: The President doesn't seem too worried. Huey: Sure, if he catches a brain-eating disease, who's gonna notice?

When it came out that Reagan had Alzheimer’s, my reaction was, “It took them this long to notice?”

course there’s also the fact that most people haven’t studied basic science, let alone medicine and don’t really have the background to understand what sort of diseases what animals have and ways that the diseases could be transmitted, and instead everyone just panics without knowing the facts.

I have studied basic science (Physics) and I do understand the known facts about BSE. Oh, well. Have another cheeseburger, I don’t care. I’m a vegetarian. My reaction about Raygun (Zap!) was the same.

Until the American people put a stop to all this insanity, it will continue, and it will get worse. USDA, what a joke! The one’s in charge who are highly paid, (and paid off), are not looking out for American’s well being. Get it?! Let’s just remain complacent, keep distracting ourselves with sports, sex, alcohol, shopping, and whatever else we can use to avoid the fact that we are in serious trouble. No one is being held accountable, no one.
