Ridiculous seeing the fossil fuel shills holding onto dear life to the planet destroying sources of energy.

We are a full generation behind in switching to renewables .

Maybe he wanted a faster car. The fastest 0 – 60 mph for a Porche is 2.6 seconds. There are electric cars that can do it in under 2 seconds.

Problem is, most if not all cars look alike, even Porches! You would have to buy a European brand, like Bentley, to see a deference.

If he had a Porsche and went electric, he likely got one with at least 3 times more horsepower, and substantially faster. In the late 1800s electric powered cars were more popular than internal combustion engine cars. They were more convenient in usage as internal combustion engines ran on kerosene you went to the general store and bought, then mixed in your garage. Gasoline was the runoff last gasp of the cracking plants, spilled on the ground. Once gasoline was found to work in autos it reduced the price of cars, giving Henry Ford what he needed, and gasoline stations started to be built. Some enterprising young person will figure out how to make the batteries better, and the electric cars more convenient than the gas ones.

Sounds like losing her made it an even more valuable trade.

He probably finally got over his midlife crisis.
