Er, um, it kinda, nudge nuge wink wink, looks like, ahem, the lions are, shall we say, engaged in other activities at the moment… and that the sheep are the only ones lacking the good sense not to watch… although I’m sure that wasn’t the intent…

speaking of this fairytale story, did noah gather male and female of EVERY species of mammal? .thats a pretty tall order and the arc would have have to have been a lot larger than an aircraft carrier….how about the mammals that were only native to areas of the earth that noah had no access to? you know, kangaroos , pandas, lemurs ??? and yet we have people who are searching for this boat…. ……

@nighthawks: um, that’s why Noah probably brought babies. And according to Genesis chapter 7 verses 8 & 9 : “Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.” God brought the animals to Noah, he didn’t have to go searching for them.

    pookid-

Some people believe the Bible, and some believe the Discovery Channel.

Like plus4 said, several cultures have flood stories, including ones that pre-date the Biblical account.

You might as well ask whether Santa Clause is real - the character may not exist, yet Xmas gifts get delivered every year…

pookid54: why would God have told Noah to build an ark to save himself, his family and the animals if it was a local flood or only covered the “known world” of the author? Why not just tell Noah to move?

like wicky said, you can believe the Bible way more than the Discovery channel.
