Sorry but I can see some humor in this-not the falling in the hole part, but the distracted dog part-and I DO have friends who are blind, and who have the assistance dogs….one of the dogs actually did something similar the first time he saw me holding the little guy in my avatar picture-he tried to drag his owner over to where I was in the hotel lobby so he could meet my puppy. The lab got himself corrected, of course, and we all (about 12 of us, only two were sighted, and seven had dogs) had a good laugh about it later that night.
