So, Lupin is deaf and reads lips, but his eyes are closed, and he doesn’t have a good view of anyone’s face, so how does he know what the woman said?

Oh Boys, please forgive the Woman for this outrage! She really does have your best interests at heart! (on a different note, I love that the Woman’s license plate begins with “BCN”!)

for me, that would’ve been the hard part, getting them all in their carriers!

What does Josette say when I take her to the vet’s? “LET ME DRIVE, YOU NEARSIGHTED IDIOT! EASY ON THE GAS! YOU WERE GOING A HUNDRED AROUND THAT CORNER!”

Yay! We finally get to meet the vet. The boys, I assume, are not as anxious.

Georgia’s strip is always filled with details that require taking a second look.My cats like to sleep in their carriers, so wait until they are in and lock the gate. When it is a two-some, then it is grab the second and shove in with the first.

I’d look in your shoes before putting them on the next few days, Woman.

We get the cold shoulder for days and whichever poor cat went there is hissed at by the others. We’ve fixed that quite a bit by wiping all three cats down with cat bath wipes so they all smell the same.

I hope Georgia’s real license plate begins ‘BCN’—too perfect.

Nice of Lupin & Puck to offer to let Elvis have the vet all to himself I’m surprised the Cat of Adventure is so quiet but maybe he is steeling himself for the inevitable.

There is no “Just going to the vet” to a cat.

Horrible & happy memories of transporting kitties in quantity to the vet!Compound that with the dogs, who INSISTED on coming along! That was BEFORE we used cages. Oh, the fur flew! All turned out well, though! Got one going to vet next week. Nice, safe carrier! It’s great!Love your pet; see the vet!

I once brought three (of our six cats) to the vet. That was a bit of a handful, but we (meaning me) survived the trip. All had A+ checkups, so we were very happy about that.

there are carriers, brand name snoozers, that were a lifesaver. i found the first at petco or petsmart, then ordered more online. they’re like rolling backpack-type luggage. bogart & bentley both traveled in the same one before they outgrew that. largely made of strong mesh, they were life savers, just zip them up and roll them along. you can see the babies and they can see you. i strapped the carriers in the van on the seat with the seatbelts, nice and secure.

btw, the carriers were really strong, with solid frame, not all mesh.

My big teddy bear of a cat Figaro was actually a joy to take to the vet. Went into the carrier no problem, never made a peep in the car, came out of the carrier once we were in the room, and would go around visiting all the staff if I let him off the leash (which was why he was on a leash while there). The staff all loved him because he was also very easy to work with, never bit or scratched at them. There weren’t many dry eyes at the clinic when he lost his battle with cancer, still not sure how I drove home that day

When I had multiple cats (up to fifteen at one point – I now have only one), I would take four or five at a time in four carriers as I could only carry four carriers at a time (it takes a bit of practice). If I had the help of a neighbour we could manage six carriers, so it meant we could take six or seven of them at one time. There was always an order to get them into the carriers though, there was two of them (both males) that if they saw the carrier you’d never catch them, so I had to get them first before they realised what was happening.

Max is relatively easy to get into his carrier (or Maxie Taxi as we call it) to go to the vet or to get groomed. But when we are packing for trip to the shore, he knows he will be cooped up for a 3 hour tour (♫ a 3 hour tour ♫) so he hides under the bed – the one place we can’t get to. So we’ve started keeping the bedroom door closed on trip days. Only a matter of time before he outsmarts us. Then once we are down at the vacation house, where does he sleep? The Taxi, of course.
