This reminds me of a Tumblr post. Someone said that, after a crack of thunder, their Roomba left its dock and started spinning in circles. So, they cuddled it in their lap.
Awww!!!! This one really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside—look at sweet, caring Pucky cradling the Vacuum’s baby! And I love how Georgia’s painted a little mouth on the buster so it looks like it’s crying.
Sweet? Cute? While Puck is trying to comfort the enemy, Lupin is meeting an unspeakable end at the hands … er … hose of the vacuum. Do not think the woman will prevent it. She is powerless. The vacuum has her in thrall, and drags her around effortlessly. The boys are doomed, I tell you! Doomed! DOOMED!
I posted the following very late on Thursday, sorry to repeat myself, but am hoping some other BCN folks will see it and let me know if they have any info to share. THANKS for all the good wishes being sent our way, you guys really are the best!!!
Just following up on what I posted last week—our little Siamese named Apple has been diagnosed with lymphoma in her small intestine and emerging in her stomach. She’ll be on prednisone starting tonight and for 2 weeks. Then we have to make decisions.Just asking—has anyone dealt with this and chosen to do chemo? If so, how did your cat take to it? Would you do it again? Thanks in advance for all your help and support, it means the world to us!
OMC! The awww is strong in this one! How is it that just when I think Georgia has hit maximum adorableness with a storyline, she then puts out a strip like this and makes me have all kinds of feels for a dust buster? And sweet Pucky’s concern that it might have a dust bunny is perfect! Pucky really is the most sensitive kitty ever!
Update on Nicky or actually not much of one. Still waiting on the pathology reports. He has handled the surgery well. Roy says he is living life like a rock star: special handling, special food and (pain) drugs! The other two are convinced he is getting something they are not. (He is not). They keep trying to “sample” his food and water.
Good morning and a happy Friday to all orbsters and orbabies. Paul’s visit to the oncologist went well. He is scheduling a MRI for Paul in an attempt to pinpoint the “origin and main source” of the cancer, as it has spread from somewhere to the lymph node in his neck. If the MRI shows nothing, then something called a “PET scan” will be scheduled. He said the prognosis is very good and it looks as though everything has been caught early.
I have officially run out of room to hang copies of this arc on my computer desk. I blame Burt, he told us to save Lupin’s vacuum chart and it wouldn’t make much sense without the rest of the storyline so I’m being overrun by cuteness and a rogue mama vacuum.
NObody but Pucky could or would come up with this behavior. Then, of course, there’s the question about the mind which conceived it…of course She knows the Puck best.
To Fullmoondeb…hi…i am so sorry to hear of your sick kitty…..we have had two cats who went through chemo and i don’t think i would do it again…we did extend their lives a bit, but the pain ad lessening of quality of life really was not the right thing to do for the good of the cats…..we have haf over 20 cats in our home and currently have and take care of six inside and four outside ferrel cats….one little female is 23 and in failing health….we have decided for HER benefit to do all that is necessary to keep her comfortable and content without doing extraordinarily treatment that may make us feel better for trying to keep her with us, but which would be so hard and uncomfortable for her…..palative care is the right thing to do for us for our little Ester…..i know her time is now short….but we are going to try to keep her happy ,content, and lying in the sun as long as she is stable….when we feel she isn’t enjoying her life….we will do what is right for her….no matter how hard it is on us……God B!ess….pat your kitty for me…kp

I love this story line. I have enjoyed revisiting old story lines, but the new ones are great too because they are full of surprises and also we can all feel free to guess what might be coming next. Pucky is so sweet. Hopefully mommy vacuum doesn’t scare him. It would seem like The Woman would turn the vacuum off before putting in the closet so then at least it wouldn’t be roaring when it found Puck with its baby.
Don’t forget to go to BCN’s Twitter page to check out all the wonderful Star Wars art posted there! Puck Skywalker! Princess Tabitha Organa! BeatRey! Tillie-wan Kenobi!
This story arc has really brought out the personalities of the trio like no other. The sweetness of Puck, The daredoing of Lupin, and the focus of Elvis. All three have really had their qualities shine in this particular story.
The momcat Puck (he is a boy, really!) is so adorable here. We see him so caring and maternal. And that dustbuster responded to him immediately. How could it not?
When Puck changes the bag/diaper. He’s going to find out about dust bunnys and dust clouds real quick. I wonder if his sense of smell will pick up the fact that it is his and the other boys fur in this baby vac?
We discovered our Itty Bitty (then 16 yrs and not so itty bitty any more) had a mouth tumor last spring. We talked to specialists about surgery, but it was really too invasive and we didn’t want to put her through that. So we gave her high doses of steroids and pain killers, helped her eat, snuggled with her every day, and made her last days the very best we could. She let us know when it wasn’t working any more and we needed to say goodbye. For a younger cat or a different cancer, we might have made a different decision – every situation is different and you need to follow your heart. Sit in stillness with Apple for a while. SHE will find a way to let you know if she wants to stay with you for a while longer or if it’s time to let her go.
OMC! This is such a wonderful strip. Puck is such a sweetie. He reminds me of a cat I had many years ago, Sam Spade. We were given a kitten, which we named The Maltese Falcon (Sam and Maltese for short) and apparently Maltese was not ready to leave her mother. She promptly took to nursing off Sam. He would roll on his side, just like a mother cat, and would allow her to suckle to her hearts content. He would look at me as though to ask “What is going on here?” but he patiently allowed her to do this. Eventually they produced a lovely litter of kittens, and Sam was a very good father, often returning a straying kitten, and watching over them.
Dear JLMJDM60, Thank you for your testimony. You are obviously taking life by the horns & getting and giving joy to others, despite your own suffering! I ask the Creator to bless your every day on Earth, and that great good comes from your being among us.
I am humbled and thankful to have this opportunity to tell you this. Please keep with the Mega Orb as long as you can. And I hope one of your loved ones takes up your keyboard & helps if things get difficult. You are loved & treasured in the Mega Orb!
Every time I see the term “dust bunny”, I think of an incident a couple of years ago I had with a group of 1st graders. I work for a bank and was doing classes with different grades for financial literacy week. The first graders were getting the lesson “safe places to keep your money”, with an accompanying story of a silly boy who left his money in all the wrong places. At the end of the story I asked the kids where did they think a safe place to keep there money was and then told them if it was a good idea or a bad idea. I got some very interesting answers, but one boy’s reaction took the cake. He raised his hand and asked, “What about under my bed”, to which I responded “Might not be safe, the dust bunnies might take it”. He immediately got a wide-eyed look of horror and went “dust bunnies are REAL??!!” It took all my self control not to laugh out loud. All I could think was, great…I’m going to be getting a therapy bill for this one.
