When is GoComics going to get rid of that Far Side banner that’s taking up so much screen space. Between the navigation tools of my browser, the Far Side banner, and the Go Comics banner, the visible page is halfway down. It’s like the reverse of sitting at the movies behind somebody with a big hat!

If you are in the US, it is also George Washington’s birthday, and we should celebrate it. I find it ironic that those of considerably less leadership skills and integrity than he, have relegated the honoring of our two greatest presidents to an artificial holiday in which neither is named. While those from the former Confederate States may not wish to honor Lincoln, no one can argue that the US owes its existence to Washington, more than any other single individual.

Maybe I’m anthropomorphizing that cat grass a bit, but I think it’s smiling . . .

Everyone, you’ll never believe it! I walked out my front door today and I saw one! A Mailman! He was right there, depositing paper envelopes into metal boxes in the entryway of my building, and then he smiled at me and waved and climbed into his white horse-less chariot and went zooming off down the parking lot and out to the street! I saw a real Mailman, I swear!
