Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

This is such a gorgeous strip! The princess gown and pirate hat really work, and everyone looks so fancy! (Except for Elvis, who is obviously perfect as he is without embellishment. I have it on the highest authority, namely Elvis.)

Pretty sure the next frame is Lupin doing somersaults as he chases the tassel on that fez though. Cheese will fly!

Pucky looks maaaahvelous in that hat.

Peter Pan and a pirate princess, a fezzy feline, a pretty Pucky, and a purrfect Elvis … The Queen of Hearts’ tea party is a success! I can’t figure out what Goldie’s blue hat is, though … Anyone got any ideas?

Awww, everyone looks so gorgeous! Happy Mother’s Day to Georgia and to all who are moms to humans and/or felines!

The cheese is doomed.

Such a beautiful family photo! The girl looks so beautiful! So does the woman. Puck’s hat is beyond purrrrfect. Glad to see Lupin in his fez. Did Goldie borrow her hat from one of the RCO ghost cats?

Oh, botheration! Just realized because I’m on hubby’s computer (he’s fixing mine after an automatic update went disastrously wrong) that everything I’ve “liked” has been liked by kokofrank.tx, not valeries. I’ve now signed in as me.

I’ve never known a cat to steal food, although it might appear that way to the careless observer. What they’re really doing is sharing without asking first.

And yes, they like cheese.

I’ve always heard that cats eat cheese so that their cheese breath attracts mice.

By way of a Mother’s Day gift, when I turned my laptop on this morning, I got the message “cannot boot up because battery not recognized (the battery has been in the laptop from day 1)”. Now I have to find the money for the tech…Grrr. At least I have the tablet my father-in-law gave me. Now I just have to remember how to log in as ladykat instead of gadenbaby. Sigh…

On the plus side, my grandson starts a new job as a roofer tomorrow. I hope it works out.

Paul had a bit of a rough day yesterday. His middle brother came for a visit and then his younger son popped in unexpectedly. Paul really enjoyed himself, but he was in a lot of pain afterward and very tired.

I love a good fez.

Cheese is fair game. Always.

The dress the girl is wearing looks a lot like the one Sophia the First wears. The Woman is, of course, Queen.

My cat is afraid of some cheese – he sniffs and then does the sideways cat jump away. But goat cheese — he loves it!

I had a little tuxedo cat named Vasya I saved from an Uzbek gutter, and he loved sitting in a chair at the table, smashing his paw on a piece of cheese and then bringing his paw up to his mouth… So cute. Almost as cute as this very sweet artwork above.

I do believe that stealing cheese from a baby is a cat’s right.

Today is not only Mother’s Day, it is also CLEAN UP YOUR ROOM DAY! How apropos. That will really make your mother’s happy, even if you no longer live with her. Imagine her joy and sense of accomplishment when you tell her, "Mom, I just finished cleaning up my room—{finally}. (You can leave that last word out, if you like. She may provide it for you!

Since Georgia has decided to stop aging the kids and cats, the Boy IS Peter Pan.

Elvis needs a hat at the very least. Deny him more more faux tea until he puts on a hat. Lupin has the fez (I just noticed it first appears in the 5th panel, had gone through the strip and thought he started wearing it in the last panel), Puck’s wearing the floral bonnet and a string of pearls, and Goldie’s wear a nice little sailor ensamble. But no! Not Elvis.

I am pretty sure a while back Georgia posted pictures of the real Elvis having a tea party with the girl.

As Mom cat, Pucky seems to be reveling in his special day!

O/T: Last week the Boston Pops Orchestra released a music video as a tribute to the first responders and other essential workers aiding the public during the coronavirus pandemic.

The virtual orchestra, comprising nearly 80 musicians and conductor Keith Lockhart, performed “Summon the Heroes,” an iconic fanfare composed by John Williams for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Williams himself joined the tribute with an introduction filmed from his home in Los Angeles.

Like to think it also honors our original “first responders” and heroes, our moms! At least for many of us.

None of the many cats that I’ve had over the years has liked cheese.

For some reason unknown to me, I got in way late today. LOVE the last panel!!! That’d be a really good one to have framed. Not quite up with top 3 or so framable panels, but close.
