Ha, same here! Kept me searching for the joke for a sec!

OK, I don’t know much about this but….

“He” seems to be coming literally unglued trying to get moving.

But doesn’t “The Club” keep the steering wheel immobile, not prevent the engine’s starting?

Or is this a transformer locked out of transforming?

Sigh….

I think this is a ‘transformer’ locked out of transforming..! Ha ha!

Sorry. This one doesn’t make sense….

I think Optimus is past his prime.

For a minute I thought this strip was elderly Transformers. I didn’t even notice the club until I read the comments.

Transformer can’t transform !

Thanks to all who mentioned Optimus… I’ve (gulp) never seen a Transformer movie, only the toy ones little boys played with back in the 80’s (?).

Now I’ve Googled a picture of Optimus Prime, and the joke is obvious.

I feel so….so culturally enriched.

I keep forgetting that Guy and rOdd probably WERE little boys in the 1980’s, so our points of reference sometimes differ.

I also am not as intelligent as you look in your avatar.

Hard to compete, sharpness-wise, with a suit and some pointy weasels.

I saw the club, but not into “transformers” (tho I have seen them with grandkids toys). I guess it is cute, but not my taste. I usually enjoy this strip but it just looks like he’s falling apart!

I’m now where it’s too small for me to see such things, but now that I did, good one.

I think it’s stupid, especially if no one gets it!
