What…. haven’t you guys ever been told about this?

You can see by this picture that the camera always adds five pounds.

Should I worry? I mean, about the fact that I’m so often on the same page as Guy and rOdd (if he’s still there….sniffle) and Dan?

Briatollah… if you know where there’s a camera that adds £5 instead of 5 lbs, I’ll go get some pictures taken.

Ah. I think the saying is that the “camera adds ten pounds” (orders of magnitude more hits on Google), but that’s the total in this comic.

The camera adds 5lbs, the extra lenses add 5lbs,, the tripod adds 5lbs…..

So ! That’s why I look so FAT.

The first comment I see was posted ten hours ago by matthew_avila. It says: “Well yes, the camera does add 10 pounds.” That explained it for me. Did matthews comment get deleted from some other readers Comments lists?

A female told me one time that it was not her fault she was overweight. TV adds 10 lbs and she had been on TV several times

I NEVER catch on to Brevity cartoons until someone explains it. Well, once in a while maybe. Still like it .

The teacher, the camera, keeps the child’s focus, at least.

Matthew’s comment wasn’t visible when I posted, nor when I checked back at 3 am! It’s possible, I suppose, that he was temporarily banned, which makes your comments invisible to anyone but yourself, and it was lifted this morning, after the uclick offices opened.

But what a strange coincidence THAT would be. Otherwise, it was some sort of glitch. All I can say is that obviously nobody saw his comment until about an hour ago. But at least somebody else also got the cartoon!

According to his profile (click his name), in about 11 months, that’s the ONLY comment Matthew has ever made. Strange!

No offense to Susan S. But Matthew_ did have the explanation first.

I love Brevity it makes me have to think for a second to get my morning laugh. This is a good one.

Mystery Cat….um….no offense possible…. because, while he did, indeed, technically, explain it first… No one, including me, could SEE that until 8 or 9 o’clock this morning.His words were invisible till then.AS I said above, I thought maybe he’d coincidentally been banned till just this morning… but his profile shows no previous comments, even though his name sounds familiar.It’s possible they were all deleted, or else, as I said before, there’s another kind of glitch going on. Yes, it’s a mystery, Cat.

If it wasn’t for the comments, I wouldn’t get some of these. Usually very funny though….

@SusanSunshine No I haven’t been banned, this really was my very first comment in 11 months. I was a little sad to see that everyone else had skipped me too. The best explanation that I have is that I’m currently stationed in the UK, and posted when I saw it at 0600 here, so maybe it didn’t post for you until that time? I did think it was too good to be true that the first post was also my first comment, which all went to naught when no one else could see it…
