    Or Irwin’s wailing will attract so much attention, everyone will come running to see what’s wrong, and scare off the robber. Same principle as a car alarm, except Irwin’s idea is a tad more painful!

    That makes sense: What the potato doesn’t absorb, the starch would neutralyze. Hint: If you put too much salt in the soup, stew, or broth, quarter up a potato or two and cook in the mix until enough salt cooks into the potatos, then remove..
