Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for March 24, 1987
Transcript:
Calvin: This transmogrifier will turn you into anything at all. All you do is set this indicator, and the machine automatically restructures your chemical configuration. You can be an eel, a babboon, a gaint bug, or a dinosaur. Hobbes: What if you want to be something else? Calvin: I left some room. Just write it on the side.

Remember when the upgrades happened? Like when you could imagine anything you wanted to be, or when the transmogrifer gun came out?

I also wonder why Calvin never transmogrified himself into a tiger, considering he wants to be one a lot.

He did take off his clothes and say “I’m with you.” after Hobbes explained why he liked being a animal better than a human, and he also turned himself into a tiger with clothes, vampire fangs, a sock, and some makeup.
