Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for August 03, 1988
Transcript:
Calvin: The problem with having a tiger for a friend is that he always appears out of nowhere, coming right at you at a good 90 miles an hour. *Whew* I thought I heard him. ...Gosh, my heart is still pounding. Where is he?? Oh, there's Hobbes. Thank goodness. Mom: You haven't been looking well, Calvin. Maybe you should go to bed earlier.

Just hang around his parents so Hobbes stays a stuffed toy. Calvin will never go for that though.
