Guys..i was wondering if your daily news paper got a printed strip of calvin and hobbes?
Because right here in Singapore, we have it in our daily Newpaper..
And the best thing is.. it is different then the ones from this web. Which means i got a double shot of calvin and hobbes daily and i love it..
=D
yeah..
That all depends on your definition of fun. When I was six, running across a nearby field, or playing ball with my neighbor didn’t feel like work to me. Now, fun is sitting on my front porch with a glass of wine and a good book.
Back then Sunday was reserved for church and after to my Dad’s parents which also housed my Aunt and three cousins. Everybody on their block had old two story houses with porches and only a couple didn’t have kids living there anymore. The houses who’s kids had grown up had grandchildren who would visit on Sundays. The whole neighborhood basically was full of screaming running kids all day and the parents and grandparents sitting on their porches in their rocking chairs observing the show. The best game was tag which went on forever using the biggest old tree on the block outside my grandparents house. The way we’d make tag even better was to play it in the dark with flashlights.
how clever calvin… i just figure it out that i’m wasting my sunday too on the internet.. i’m going to put my shoes on take my skateboard and go out with my girlfriend and friends.. maybe fly a kite too..
Calvin fits perfectly the definition of a hypochondriac: “Someone who feels bad when he feel good, because he knows he’ll feel worse when he feels better.”
Or, as a friend of mine once observed: “The only thing wrong with doing nothing is that it’s hard to tell when you’re finished.”
I agree with who ever said substitute school with work and make most of the day. I suppose school like work depends on how well you like both. For ones who work hard and learn hard high achievement is great. But those tests can be killers just like evaluations you can’t please those bosses no matter how hard we try.
Calvin! Be positive! If you’ve got a hole in your roof and water leaks in, then you’ve got a house! If you’re sick, then you’re still alive! If you’ve got 6 hours of freedom , then that’s more than you’ll have 3 hours from now! Anyway, I like school!

If you want the maximum fun in the minimum time, Calvin, just relax and do what you do best: fantasize.

And I thought Girls Just Want To Have Fun.
The problem with Calvin is that his brand of fun will get him in trouble.
Good Morning, Marg!

Good morning Marg! Good morning Fran! Good morning Shepmuttmix!
Sadly, too many people approach downtime like this and wind up stressed as hell trying to relax

He should hook up with Phineas and Ferb. Then he can have the best day ever. At least it takes away the shock of Monday morning.

Hello Mike Firesmith and Loki Mutt.
Jo Jo Thank you for reminding me of Walt Kelly and the wonderful adventures of Pogo. That makes my Sunday morning very much fun.
We should all be feral Hobbes way.

Ya know, if you were to substitute the word “work” for “school” in the 5th panel in Calvin’s comment, that would be my sentiment exactly!!!
