If you look closely at the first frame of yesterday’s strip, you will see that the word balloons are criss-crossed, and the second one points to Calvin, not Hobbes. So the bad idea of throwing snowballs at the snowman was Calvin’s.

Hobbes: Thanks for comment re the crossed balloons. From my recollections, a favorite tiger aphorism was the one about a tiger’s tail being like a necktie for the butt…and a favorite bit of wisdom was the comment that life is just one epiphany after another (altho’ I think the tiger may have had tongue firmly implanted in cheek on that one).

Calvin has become an expert in the taxonomy of snow…

They need to build more snowpeople quick to fend off the monster mutant snowman or surround him.

Next time, Calvin will think twice before summoning the snow demons. Snowmen were never meant to be living beings.

Actually, George Harrison wrote it - John Lennon wasn’t even on the recording, being in recovery from a car crash.

I frequently play it. It’s just about my favorite acoustic guitar song to play. Lennon’s ‘You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away’, and Paul’s ‘Norwegian Wood’ get a lot time on my acoustic, too. Now, if I could just figure out how to do Ringo on guitar……
