    Since the penalty for sin was death, had Adam not sinned, where would he be?

    Only if I can be 29 forever. And retain all the knowledge I have obtained in the many years since that date..George Bernard Shaw was right – Youth is wasted on the Young.

    If I could be 25 again and have the youth and vigor, the enthusiasm, the strength, the conficence that I had then. If I could have my mind fuctioning perfectly so I could learn and retain what I learned and put it to good use, If I could capture all my emotions and have them work for good, for kindness and gentle things, for mercies of every kind and lovingkindness for all earths beings. If I could really get to know God and to be known by him as a worthwhile person,And if all the other people in the world had the same aims and intentions and feelings of love and consideration for each other and for the earth and it’s diverse and amazing creatures…………then YES, most certainly YES, it would be grand to live forever.

    Dennis, the perpetual 5-year-old, to his buddy Joey O h to be two years old again, knowing the things I know now.

    Life is a bitch, and then you die.

    I don’t particularly want to die but OTOH I’m not sure I want to live in an ever-deteriorating state in a ditto wordl.

    Worry not Calvin, Hobbes wouldn’t bother to eat you. You would be just a mere tidbit at best. Now turn out the lights and go back outside and build a snowman or something.

    Although I used to backpack and love the outdoors, I also love what the comic Jim Gaffigan says—“if the outdoors are so great, why are all the bugs trying so hard to get in my house?”

    And yes, to agree with those above, oh, to have the vigor and figure of my youth with the knowledge I have now! And to be able to eat ANYTHING and not gain weight—how unfair that I have all these wonderful recipes and have gotten to be quite a good cook, only to be able to gain weight by looking at something!

    To paraphrase George Carlin, “What’s so great about God? Every living thing he’s made died! So far, anyway! So far…” By creating “indoors”, we’ve subverted natural selection of our species, so not only the strong and healthy survive. Morally I’m fine with that, but I’m just suggesting to keep a healthy distance from tigers.

    We are here “to know God, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him for ever in heaven.” Tigers just do that naturally. Between meals, of course.

    ++++

    @*puppybreath*, that is a good approximation of heaven, by most accounts.

    The tiger is full of it. We see him often curled up by the fire in the living room – all inside and in the front of the bus and everything…..on the other hand, this cartoon really gave me a good laugh – all the modern conveniences – old guy here REALLY likes them…
