Cross-country tennis?
Ok, Joey…you go down to Mississippi…I’ll fake it to ya’! Frankie, go LOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGGG! The pass may arrive by Thursday….
In the movie “The Quiet Man”, they had cross-country boxing.
Especially the way you two play sports.
Cross Country badminton?
Calvin ball ,cross country,boy what can go wrong with that ?
You would not believe the fuss over a7.7 earthquake.
To escape Calvin is very quick and inventive!!
@somebodyshortOK, I’ll take the downtown bus….

I’m reminded of Bill Cosby’s old 33 RPM recordings about the kids playing stickball…“Harold? Go down to the corner, take the 9th Street bus…”
You’re bound to get someone cross somewhere along that route.
monty python had a sketch about an olympic event of global hide and seek.
Thus The Amazing Race is born.
Susan, you do realize this is a cartoon?
I LOVE C&H….
Unfortunately my golf game is cross country.
It’s amazing how both Calvin and the football fit into the mailbox. Instead of cartoon physics, this is cartoon geometry.
Awwwww… This is so cute!
LOL xxx
Excellent comic today!
It’s like the Hunger Games, except hopefully no one’s getting killed.
I hope none of the neighborhood cats visited his sandbox.
Shrovetide football comes to mind. The goals are three miles apart (among other peculiarities).
How about combining cross country and running? Crazy huh?
Great comic. I love it. And I agree with @demtrug, life should be cross country.
Since I live in the country all my sports are cross country.Watching the wildlife.Target practice.Throwing the ball for my dog.Stargazing, etc.
I wish I had a neighborhood like Calvin’s.
I love it how he hid in the sandbox.
Ah, Calvinball…the field sport equivalent of Fizzbinn!
I don’t know if this strip really answers your question, but it’s at least tangentially related.
“Aren’t Calvin’s parents the least bit concerned that their son’s only playmate is a stuffed tiger???”
+++++
Maybe they’ve accepted that their son is an extreme introvert, and does his best playing alone.
haha
Eighty-first down, and 3,423 yards to go. This would be a good place for a quarterback sneak. Obviously we’re in 400-down territory here.
It looks like Calvin found some of Hobb’s treasure deposits in the litter box.
The World Rally Championship is done in cars, and boy is it ever cross-country….
