Try going on to the internet to look at guides of you favorite shows. I bet one of those episodes can entertain you perfectly.

You must always try to bring it in a good way, always pull again to the good side and take every good possibility!

I can’t find an easy answer!!

The media moguls always say, “It’s what the public wants” and yet without all the hype and advertising, “the public” wouldn’t know what they wanted, apparently.

And if you have no disposable income, then no shock and titillation for you?

Monopoly money doesn’t count.

Damn I miss those old CRT TV sets! The way they used to bounce about, during action scenes!!

I haven’t had a TV set since 1996 and don’t miss it at all. Many days I don’t even listen to the radio or music. I do hear the birds outside but enjoy quiet.

The genius of Watterson was that his philosophical insights appealed to both left and right; rare gift. Why is he not in the republican or democrat primary?

How fitting. I just finished reading the entirety of the hunger games series. Took less than a week. Bread and Circuses.

Sadly, our appetite for entertainment has created an entirely new political environment. Watterson didn’t know how correct he would eventually be!

In the first panel, C refers to violence and depravity. This was 20 years ago. We are much more civilized now…..

I’ll take violence and depravity any day over those miserable reverse mortgage commercials!

Watterson was right on. The 90’s have led us to today…more depraved than ever.

That continuous muffled thud you hear is Western Civilization coming apart brick by brick.

And NO, things have NOT always been like this.

And that was just the News!

The customer is a blank slate. Unfortunately, it’s the media that gets to write on that slate to find a way to sell him and make sure he THINKS he’s right. We aren’t born longing for sugar. Or for any particular religion or political party.

Sorry, I should have mentioned: I regard us all as members of the media. We are the bedevilers and the bedeviled.

This strip is 20 years old, and things have only gotten worse.

What’s really sickening is the growth industry of frat-boy “R” movies. There is no good quality comedy anymore, since they can make so much money with low-brow garbage, easily and cheaply produced.
